Participation in Erasmus+

KBT Vocational College is committed to participating in Erasmus+ to establish and expand its student
exchange program. Our future engagement will focus on Key Action 1 (KA1) and Key Action 2 (KA2)
activities, with an emphasis on mobility projects for higher education students and staff.

Under KA1, KBT will actively implement:

Student mobility for studies: Students from KBT will have the opportunity to study abroad at
partner institutions while we welcome students globally to experience our programs in Social
entrepreneurship and Peer consulting.

Student mobility for traineeships: Our students will engage in internships abroad to gain
practical skills, while international students will bring diverse perspectives to internships within
Norway.

Blended intensive programmes: We will offer short-term, focused programs combining virtual
learning with physical mobility to foster collaboration and innovation.

Under KA2, we will collaborate in:

Partnerships for Cooperation: Establishing joint projects with international institutions to
develop innovative teaching methods and shared resources.

Partnerships for Innovation: Developing tools and methodologies for peer consulting and
social entrepreneurship that are applicable across cultural contexts.

Implementation in Practice

To achieve this, KBT will:

  1. Build partnerships with institutions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
  2. Develop clear guidelines for mobility, ensuring smooth logistical support for students and staff.
  3. Establish an international office to coordinate exchange activities and provide personalized
    assistance to participants.
  4. Leverage digital platforms for blended programs, combining remote collaboration with on-site
    activities.

Strategy, objectives and impact

Our participation in Erasmus+ aligns with KBT’s mission to modernize vocational education through
international collaboration. We aim to:

Objective 1: Enhance global learning by sending 20% of our students abroad annually by 2026
and hosting a similar number of international students.

Objective 2: Strengthen cultural competence among students and staff, with 80% of participants
reporting improved intercultural understanding within two years of participation.

Objective 3: Foster innovation in social entrepreneurship by developing at least six collaborative
projects with international partners by 2028.

Envisaged Impact

Erasmus+ participation will:

  • Strengthen KBT’s position as a leader in vocational education by integrating global perspectives into its programs.
  • Build a European Education Area by promoting mobility, collaboration, and innovation across borders.
  • Modernize KBT’s teaching practices through shared expertise and innovative methodologies from partner institutions.

Indicators

To track progress, KBT will measure:

  • Mobility targets: 25 outgoing and 25 incoming students in year one, growing 20% annually
  • Participant satisfaction: Surveys with an 85% positive feedback rate on mobility support and program quality.
  • Project outcomes: The successful completion of at least one joint project with measurable impacts on student employability and innovation.
  • Sustainability: Establish long-term partnerships with 10 institutions by 2030, ensuring program continuity and growth.

By integrating Erasmus+ activities into our institutional strategy, KBT will empower students and staff to
become globally competent, socially conscious professionals, fostering innovation and collaboration on a
global scale.
